Lessons On Casual Dressing

Accessories can either make or break an outfit. When used right, it just makes the entire look work, otherwise, it just sticks out like a sore thumb without any regard for coherence.

I was really surprised to find out how much of a challenge it was to incorporate my first-ever G-Shock to my Sunday outfit. I've always always liked the brand, but when I became a fan of Tricia Gosingtian and all things Japanese, I was sold.

This is probably the closest to denim-on-denim that I've gotten so far. I wasn't going to wear long sleeves and long pants on that hot day. Hopefully I'll get to sport it on our next stay at Tagaytay? #FingersCrossed

Everything had to be very casual and laidback. My usual touch of sophistication/boringness (LOL) just wasn't doing it for me. I haven't worn my button-downs like this in a while and it was a fun reunion with this trend. :)

And of course, the star of the show. I can't tell you how long it took me to decide on what to get. They aren't exactly cheap, after all. But for the immensely high quality and durability, no one can ever say it isn't worth it. I chose the GA150GW-7A mostly because I was so drawn to the gunmetal detailing and the glossy white strap that I've always remembered G-Shock for. The only downside is the negative display. It's ironically what makes it even cooler but it also tends to get hard to see in the dark despite the light. That aside, it's absolutely gorgeous.

I also recommend buying your G-Shock online! I got mine from @Watchya_Think for 1000 less than the mall price!

Another recent acquisition of mine is my first pair of Sebago boat shoes! I got it for such a steal at 2000php. I wish I'd gotten it a size bigger though, but it's nothing I can't really handle. It's the perfect shade of cream and it cannot be more perfect for summer. :)

Uniqlo button-down, Calvin Klein shorts, Sebago boat shoes, G-Shock watch. (Hype this look on lookbook here!)

It's really surprising how your creativity gets tested because of something as simple as a watch. I can't wait to try it out on different looks!

What do you think? :D
